Two Bishops with OA Crosses
A fun fact. There are two bishops wearing the OA Cross as their pectoral cross.
The Rt. Rev. Scott Benhase, OA, Bishop Of Georgia
Bishop Scott makes use of the cross as provided by the Order; that’s with the Ascended Christ engraved on one side. He has placed the seal of the diocese on the other side. He’s been part of the Order since the mid 1980’s and was the Presiding Brother twice 1991 – 1998 and 2008 - 11
The Rt. Rev. Gregory Rickel, Bishop of Olympia
Bishop Greg asked Chapter for permission to embed the OA cross within a cross of wood from the local forests. Bishop Greg was the Presiding Brother from 2005 – 08. On his request he was released from the Promise a couple of years after his election.
